Saw a Toyota Avanza with Mexican plates today (this is not my photo). Now that I’ve had some time with Google, I understand why a 75mph speed limit was a bit difficult for it (also why I don’t have an actual photo).
Is this a vehicle that’s sold in large numbers in Mexico? Or is it primarily Asian market? I’ve never seen or heard of it before today.

I know these are pretty popular, at least in Guatemala. Cheap 3 row MPV, it’s actually cheaper than a Corolla.

Confirmed, it’s available in Mexico.
They also have a different Yaris then we do (plus the Yaris R, which is our Yaris sedan), along with the Hilux (Tacoma and Tundra are also offered) and Hiace.

Never seen one of those but there is one of theses roaming the Lincoln Nebraska area. It always makes me smile when I see it.

I saw a Toyota Hi-Ace in my very own neighborhood today and didn’t get a photo of that either. I hope it’s gonna stick around.

Those shits are all over the place; uber drivers love them, together with the BrR -V

Most of the Mexican vehicles that make it to my neighborhood are trucks. I wouldn’t want to drive an Avan za this far!

I have a feeling it has the rigidity of tofu... it won’t pass safety standards here.

Truck=rich in the border region , rich=easily gets a visa, border region =can cross with their car easily.
In the end, I wouldn’t want to be near one on a highway, those things ride like shit and aren’t very safe

Wow, RWD chassis with manual gearbox? I’m down.
